“Prisoners” by Amlanjyoti Goswami
by Jalada
September 15, 2015
I munch words,
Gulp morsels of silence.
I grasp, let go arms of feeling,
The ones who escape,
-Empty words- floating
Free from the clutch of meaning
They amble down shores of song
The sun long down,
Like deep fried popcorn,
The sort that sticks in your tongue
Like a memory
